Path of Exile developers Grinding Gear recently announced a sequel, Path of Exile 2, but that doesn't seem to have stunted work on an original at all.

Grinding Gears has announced their 2020 roadmap for Path of Exile, and a busy one. The plan should be to keep up the most common quarter diary for expansions all year round, releasing four expansions--versions 3.10.0 to 3.13.0--all through the year. 3.10.0 will "probably be announced in late February," the roadmap states.

"The timing on the expansions are vastly different by a week or two POE Orbs from last year's ones, when we work around various holidays/events make certain that the bigger ones have enough to be fully tested," they state. When you want to get POE Currency and POE Items, I think you should visit MMOAH. Their POE trade is safe and cheap. Buy POE Currency from MMOAH!

The team can be working on 4.0.0, plus the team is expecting for being able to show "significantly new content" across the middle of the entire year, potentially by E3. A public beta could run in late 2020. The console team has expanded at the same time so that console updates may be pushed faster, and develop Path of Exile Mobile is continuing, depending on feedback received at ExileCon 2019.

Path of Exile 2 will include the first game's campaign if it releases, that will be why the developers always expand it. The sequel might visit PS5 and Xbox Series X also as PC. For more, look at our interview with Grinding Gear founder Chris Wilson.
