Vinyl floors are extremely popular, which is not surprising because there are many arguments in favor of a modern vinyl floor. In addition to excellent hygiene properties, the good price-performance ratio is convincing. Vinyl also offers a wide range of customization options.

Vinyl floors are extremely popular, which is not surprising because there are many arguments in favor of a modern vinyl floor. In addition to excellent hygiene properties, the good price-performance ratio is convincing. Vinyl also offers a wide range of customization options. There are hardly any limits to decors, designs and colors, since almost everything can be realized in the necessary production processes and so there is a wide range of products that should only be guided by your taste. Are you still thinking of obsessive gray when it comes to vinyl? Think about it!
Today vinyl floors are available in different designs. As flooring, these are offered either with or without a carrier. There are also so-called PVC / vinyl planks with a comfortable click system or as self-adhesive planks. Find out what the different designs and materials are all about below.
PVC / vinyl floor without carrier
A vinyl floor without a carrier consists either of a uniform, hard-wearing PVC / vinyl layer or alternatively of several firmly pressed layers. These offer very high abrasion resistance and the properties of the individual layers.
PVC / vinyl floor with support
A floor with a carrier has either a textile or non-textile underlay (HDF, cork, etc.) on which the PVC / vinyl mass is applied. Vinyl floors with supports are characterized by a higher dimensional stability and are therefore also preferred for use in private living rooms.
CV coverings - a variant of PVC / vinyl flooring
The so-called relief coverings offer differently structured or embossed surfaces. Whether it's a real-looking tile pattern or the authentic feel of a wooden floor - individual up and down structures of a CV flooring are created by the foaming additives in the material. For example, in tile or wood decor, the "joints" are placed lower than the "panels". This creates a deceptively real look.
Self-adhesive PVC / vinyl floor tiles
Self-adhesive PVC / vinyl floor planks (https://www.accessfloorstore.com/self-adhesive-vinyl-floor) are also available in numerous colors and designs, not in one. Self-adhesive boards have the advantage of being quick and clean to lay. An adhesive layer is already attached to its lower end. This eliminates the need to fill the adhesive on the sub-floor and the potential fogging that occurs because the existing adhesive layer contains very little solvent. All you need is a carpet knife and a ruler.
PVC / vinyl floor plank to click
Vinyl floor boards with a click system offer the advantage that you do not have to work with glue or other aids when laying. On the one hand, you need significantly less time for laying and, on the other hand, you can also replace individual planks if necessary. A distinction is also made here between planks without supports and planks. These create a particularly high level of stability due to the existing carrier plate, but at the same time offer greater strength. What both variants have in common, however, is that they consist of different layers that contribute to the durability of the PVC / vinyl floor: a high-quality surface, the wear layer, the decorative film and finally the return. The click systems are located on the front and long sides and are therefore just as user-friendly as laying laminate.
